On your device

Bookbndr processes manuscript files in your browser. We do not upload your manuscript, parsed document, cover images, uploaded ornaments, or authored front/back-matter prose to our account service.

The workspace saves a temporary copy in this browser’s IndexedDB to restore your book after sign-in, checkout, or moving to Studio. Temporary manuscript sessions expire after seven days when next accessed. Local project settings and local images remain until you remove them. Use “Remove local documents & images” in the workspace to clear this account’s local assets. Keep your master document backed up.

In your account

When signed in, Bookbndr synchronizes project names, book metadata, formatting settings, chapter mappings, section configuration, and reusable themes. Microsoft Entra handles email-code login. Our Azure account service stores identity identifiers, purchases, license status, settings, and operational audit records. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout and payment information.

Export authorization sends an account request, never your book. A network connection is required when exporting. On another device, reopen your manuscript and reattach your images.

Retention and your choices

Local documents are under your control and can be removed from the workspace. Cloud settings are kept while your account is in use. Contact us to request account deletion. Purchase and audit records may need to be retained to administer lifetime access and meet legal obligations. Operational logs are retained for 30 days.

Purchases are not yet available. When checkout opens, Lemon Squeezy will handle payment processing. You can try document formatting and previews now without creating an account.
